Reaching Out

Reach out to others,

Lend a listening ear,

Tell them that they’re cared for,

Show them that you’re here.

Ask them how they’re doing,

Find out what they need,

See how you can help them,

Do a loving deed.

If they just need friendship,

Be that caring friend,

Listen to their problems and 

Be loyal till the end.

Point them all to Jesus;

That’s the greatest way to love,

For we are truly nothing;

All our strength comes from above.

If you don’t know for sure 

If reaching out’s the thing to do,

I can almost guarantee you 

You’ll be happy if you do.

For inside many souls

 A lonely heart is beating,

And by reaching out to others

Their needs you could be meeting.

The need to know you’re listening,

The need to feel they’re heard,

Could be fixed in just a minute

By a kind and loving word.
