All Prepared?

During these past few weeks, the end times have been on my mind a lot. With the corona virus causing plans to be canceled, stores to be closed, and gatherings to be banned, everything just seems a bit off. Seeing all the empty shelves in stores makes one think: if they don't get restocked, what will we do?
A lot of crazy things have been happening lately. There's even locusts plagues going around in Africa.
The Bible talks about some pretty big things happening at the end times. You probably know about the "mark of the beast." God forbids His children to ever receive it. Revelation 13:17 warns us, though, that without it we won't be able to buy or sell. That can sound pretty scary. Imagine not being able to buy groceries?
During this time, you may be preparing. Whether grocery stores run clean because of the virus panic, or the end time comes soon, you don't want to be without food. You may even stock up so much that you feel completely prepared.
Whether you are storing water, filling up shelves of canned goods, or learning how to survive, please keep one thing in mind. If your soul is not in the right place, none of that matters.
Stocking up or learning survival skills may come in handy one day. Perhaps they'll be what keeps you alive. But in the end, making sure your soul is prepared is what really matters.
After your years on earth are done, you don't just disappear into unconsciousness forever; you'll go somewhere. Are you prepared for eternity?

  5. Awesome post Laura! I do hope you are finding things to do in this time, and spending a lot of that time praying in Gods Word.
