Cinnamon Sugared Pecans

Matthew 9:35-38

      And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

      But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
     Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
     Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Have you ever tried Candied Pecans? They're a very sweet snack that's simple to make, and perfect for Fall.

Don't have a sweet tooth? They're also great to make as a gift. I put mine in an old cookie tin, but a clear bag with an Autumn-colored ribbon might look nice too...
If you want to make your own Candied Pecans, you'll need:

  • 1 lb pecan halves
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  •
