Interview with Amie and Snowball—Blog Tour

Hello! I'm super excited to be participating in my first blog tour! Amie, from Crazy A, wrote and illustrated this book about her rabbit, Snowball. It's a very cute book with beautiful illustrations, and is perfect for children ages 2-5, or anyone who loves rabbits.

Here's a summary about the book:

Snowball loves apples.  When his apple goes missing, he knows that he must find who took it.  A charming children's book with funny pictures, an engaging message, and animals.  Perfect for early readers or to read aloud to your 2-5 year old.

Here's a little about Amie:

Amie is a wild, crazy writer who is either daydreaming or talking a hundred miles an hour.  When she is not doing those two things, she is probably reading or jamming on one of the four instruments she plays.  Writing is her overwhelming passion, but she is also passionate about horses, music, acting, photography, blogging, and living life to glorify her Creator and Lord.  She is the second oldest of seven children and enjoys being dramatic with her four sisters. Whether it is in Amie’s writing or in her words, she enjoys making people laughing.

Now for the interview! I'll start with Amie.

What’s you favorite book?
Ooh, good question.  I have so many favorite books, and my all time favorite non-fiction book is the Bible.  I especially love the historical books, the gospels, and proverbs.  For fiction, my go-to answer is "The Wide Wide World" by Susan Warner.  It's a book that not only entertained me, it grew my walk with Christ.

What’s your dream job?
Be a broadway performer, or at the very least be in an audio drama or movie.  That's my dream job. :D

When did you first begin writing?
Well, I started seriously writing when I was twelve, though I've "written" since I can remember.  I used to make scribbles on notebook paper and tell my brother I could spell, and I was writing a story.  I was crushed when he told me that didn't count, and so I tried wordless picture books until I actually could (sorta) spell.

What inspired this story
I wanted to enter a contest, and I'm terrible at drawing people, and so I looked over and saw Snowball and wrote about a tragedy happening to him. :D

Do you think you’ll publish any other books?
Lord willing, yes.  It's my ambition and dream to keep publishing books, though I'm unsure if there will be any more picture books.

How old are you?
I'm sorry to say that my parents would rather me not tell that online, but I'm a young teenager.

Snowball

Now for Snowball!

How does it feel to be the main character in a book?
It is a very flattering feeling.  I feel as if I shall be the next YouTube sensation...Okay, maybe not exactly like that, but similar.

What is your favorite food?
I like apples best, though watermelon and collards are close ties.

What kind of rabbit are you?
I am a very smart rabbit.  (Though I do believe you're asking my breed, and I'm an English Spot.)

Do you have a middle name?
Yes, I actually do, but it's a very undignified name.  Amie gave me it because she co-authored a book, and the rabbit in the book was white, and it was named Candi.  So I am Snowball Candi Rabbit.  (Now I shall bury in my hay.)

Have you ever gone outside?
Yes, in fact, I have almost left my owners behind multiple times when I found that the leash was too constraining.

Thank you for letting me interview you both! Since this is about rabbits, here's a picture of my old rabbit, Sable.

Now you can go and buy the book here: Snowball and the Missing Apple .
